Nature of request
Richard Langino of Melcombe and Lawrence Ragge of Weymouth state that on the morrow of St James in the twentieth year of King Edward their ships were robbed at sea off Le Collet in Brittany by unknown people from Dieppe, La Havre and Brittany, who took their goods to Nantes, where they still hold them; and they killed twenty people in the ships. They request aid and a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
They are to have letters to the Duke of Brittany, concerning the contents of the petition, for him to do justice as has hitherto been the custom in Chancery.
