- Arnold de Clavarie, formerly the king's bailli of Boulogne, which adjoins the Count of Armagnac's lands, states that, because he wished to defend the king's rights in this bailiwick, the Count's people from Lados assaulted him and wounded him through the body with a lance - a wound which he thought would kill him - in contempt of the king and his lordship and to Arnold's great harm. He asks that the Seneschal or his lieutenant might be ordered to put this right, so that the king's lordship might be better defended.
