Nature of request
Simon de Hourges, merchant of Amiens, states that Aymer la Zousche, Sheriff of Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire, arrested him in the town of Huntingdon and imprisoned him for being French, and seized his goods and merchandise to the value of £6; and he is still in prison. He asks that he and his goods might be released.
Nature of endorsement
A writ is to be sent to Aymer to inform Chancery of the reason for the seizure etc. And when the reason has been seen, justice is to be done.

Aymer la Zousche was Sheriff of Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire between November 1320 and April 1327, and between September 1328 and December 1330. CCR 1327-30 p.69 is dated 5 April 1327, and would seem to be the ultimate response to this petition.
