Nature of request
The merchant vintners of Gascony request consideration of their long wait for payment of money owed to them by the king for wines taken from them by Michael Migniot, the king's chief butler, and their long suit, and the damages and losses they have incurred. The collectors of customs on wools of London have now told them that they cannot have their money from them, either through shipping of wools or in any other way; and they request some other suitable remedy.

CFR 1337-47 p.65 is dated 15 February 1338 and p.121 is dated 24 February 1339. As this petition describes a long suit, it would likely seem to date from a few years after 1339.
