Nature of request
Guy de Lescourtes states that in the time of the king's grandfather a dispute arose between Trenk, widow of Guiraut de Burg, knight, and the executors of her brother, Peter de Narrovana, concerning Peter's goods, and this was put to the arbitration of Eleanor, Queen of England, which resulted in letters containing her decision and confirmed by the King and the then Seneschal of Gascony. He is ready to provide information on these letters, and asks that they might be confirmed by letters sealed with the great seal.
