Nature of request
Arnold Micol states that the French are withholding his land in Bazas and the Bazadais, worth £40 sterling, and asks that he might be compensated with the same amount of land from the lands forfeited by rebels in the Bordelais, specifically from the lands of Bertram de la Mote, lord of Roquetaillade or of Bernardetez de Ladyls.
Nature of endorsement
The king has ordained that certain great people will be sent quickly with full power to do the things which are appropriate and profitable for himself and his subjects; and the king will order them that, when they have informed themselves of his losses, they are to give him such recompense as is appropriate and as might reasonably suffice.
