Telegram reads: 'Urgent important case awaiting trial by Supreme Court cannot be dealt with in the absence of Chief Justice and there is no one in the Colony suitable for acting appointment. Unless Chief Justice will arrive shortly urge strongly that judge should be obtained from neighbouring colony or Dominion of Canada for this purpose'.
