Description

Sir James Wishart to Bolingbroke: the commands of the lords justices are being executed. The duke of Berwick has detained British merchant ships at Barcelona to transport troops to Majorca, the viceroy of which fears an invasion. Copies of his letters to the duke and the viceroy. Marginal list of ships at Port Mahon, which are being careened and refitted. He has received petitions from British masters on Spanish depredations. News of six French men of war having entered the Mediterranean. Various enclosures and copies mentioned. Dated on board Ripon at Port Mahon. No. 160
