- Folios 175-177. Letter from John Kirkland, Clerk to the Guardians of the Southwell Union, to the Poor Law Board. He acknowledges receipt of their letter of 3 January 1857 regarding forms for the 'Dietaries of Children'. The completed forms are returned for Board to sanction. Enclosed are the forms for diets of children between 2-5 and 5-9 years showing the allowed quantities of bread, milk, meat, potatoes, suet pudding, rice pudding and butter. Also enclosed is a form showing ingredients and quantities of liquid food and pudding provided.
