Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to George Harrison, Clerk to the Guardians of the Newark Union, stating the Board's attention has been called to certain correspondence regarding the pauper Elizabeth Duckenfield. They request the Newark guardians to furnish them with any observations on the matter, particularly with regard to the comments on Thomas Marriott and the relief having been continued after the pauper was removed. They also request a written statement from the relieving officer, specifying significant dates and the date when the payment to Mr Allwood was discontinued.
