- Folios 160-161. Letter from John Lane and Thomas Kirk, overseers, Caythorpe, to the Poor Law Board. They acknowledge receipt of a letter of 9 December 1856 and reply that Mr Stapleton resigned from the office of assistant overseer last Lady Day to 'the general satisfaction of the rate payers.'Annotated; suggests a letter should be sent to Stapleton to state that as he is no longer an overseer the Board do not see his concern in the matter.[Folio 160.
