- Folio 93. From W Lutridge, Commissioner In Lunacy, to the Poor Law Board. Pre-printed form entitled 'Report by the Commissioners in Lunacy' on a visit made on 11 June 1856. He notes that there were 5 male and 7 female inmates of unsound mind, and that Mr Warwick, Medical Officer, visits on alternate days. He comments that they are properly taken care of, with clean and well-ventilated day rooms and good beds. He recommends a different method of bed hygiene for 3 inmates with 'uncleanly habits'; and that 2 males recently received from 'the County Asylum' should stop sharing a bed, 'a very objectionable practice' and be provided with separate beds.Annotated to send an extract of the above to the Guardians.
