- Folio 82. Letter from John Turtle, temporary Clerk to the Guardians of the Southwell Union, to the Poor Law Board. He informs them of the death of Thomas Marriott, late clerk to the guardians of the Southwell Union on 10 June 1856. He states his successor will be elected on Tuesday 24 June 1856.There is an annotated note from Mr Manwaring, 14 June 1856, to send expression of regret and request details of the new appointment be sent as soon as possible.
