Folio 70. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to Thomas Pawson, Relieving Officer, Southwell. They state they have sent a copy of his letter of 8 April 1856 to the guardians of the Southwell Union respecting payment of expenses in the removal of the pauper William Noble to the Derby Lunatic Asylum. The guardians have since responded and a copy of their letter, 1 May 1856, is now forwarded to Pawson for his observations. The Poor Law Board request he forward to them the 'Order of Justices' made to him for the payment of his expenses.
