Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission, to Thomas Marriott, Clerk to the Guardians of the Southwell Union, regarding the Ossington request for the apportionment of the quota arising from the sale of the workhouse and lands, formally belonging to the Thurgarton Incorporation and asking for further information. They request that a copy from the parish book may be sent to the office for inspection, together with a declaration detailing the circumstances under which the money was borrowed, the purpose for which it was borrowed and the amount remaining unpaid.
