Sir John Jennings to Dartmouth on 22 April: he is preparing to sail for Barcelona. The duke of Uzeda has instructed him on the evacuation of Catalonia; he believes himself able to transport half of them. Transport of the duke of Savoy's troops to Sicily. Salutes by the Genoans. Plague in Vienna. Dated on board Blenheim in Vado Bay. 'The questions which HRH [the duke of Savoy] put to Sir [John] Jennings regarding an embarkation to Sicily and his responses thereto. [French]. Duplicate of SP 42/68/121 of 29 March 1713. The emperor Charles VI to Sir John Jennings on 23 April [French]: thanks for his service in transporting the empress to Genoa. He is sending Marquis Perlas, Colonel Oduyer and the count of Stahrenberg to concert with Jennings on the evacuation of Catalonia. Provisions may be drawn from the magazines in Barcelona.
