Description

These volumes record progress in actions with which the masters and their predecessors were concerned in the Court of Chancery and, from November 1875, in the Chancery Division of the High Court of Justice. They include notes prepared for the use of the judges and lists of the claims sent in by creditors and other claimants. After 1928 such notes were not normally kept separately in the chambers of individual masters but incorporated in the centralized filing system.

The list is arranged in alphabetical order of action titles under the calendar year in which the cases began. Where possible the action number of the individual case has been given as has the name of the master who dealt with the action.
