Full description and record details

Reference
SC 8/338/E1218
Date
[1305-1306]
Description
Petitioners
Pierre Arnaud, seigneur de Sault-de-Navailles.
Name(s)
Arnaud, seigneur de Sault-de-Navailles, Pierre
Addressees
King and council.
Places mentioned
Saut en La Bourt (Sautl-de-Navailles), [Gascony, France]
St Pierre de'lrube, [Gascony, France].
Nature of request
Arnaud states that whereas the king ordered by his letters to the seneschal of Gascony that after things had been done newly and attempted after the appeal made by the petitioner to the king, the seneschal has rendered the places of Sault and St Pierre and the mills, but not the issues that amount to 50 livres morlanenses. He requests that the seneschal is ordered to render the issues.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be ordered to the seneschal that he consult upon the contents of the petition to his council, and further do what by right ought to be done.
Note
The petition is dated to 1305-1306 as this petition seems to be part of an original file of Gascon petitions - SC 8/338/E1217-SC 8/338/E1260 - for which SC 8/338/E1228 seems to have been the cover petition. The dating of this group of documents is arrived at by the possibility of more closely dating several of the petitions in this group, and these are noted where necessary. In addition, almost all of the petitions bear the old PRO references to Diplomatic Documents 1542 and 1548.

For another petition by the same petitioner, see SC 8/292/14580

The petition belongs to a probable original file consisting of SC 8/338/E1217- SC 8/338/E1260 of which SC 8/338/E1228 was probably the cover petition judging from its endorsement, see SC 8/338/E1228
