Syggyswyke complains that Wycliffe came with armed men while he was hearing divine service in the feast of St Martin in Winter, in the 18th year, and with force and arms waited upon him from which he only escaped with great fear, he being old and broken. He later sent four of his servants armed to his demesne and they took his oxen and pastured them and awaited the petitioner and his son to kill them. He does this to force the petitioner to sell his land, and Syggyswyke is not of great power, and Wycliffe is and does not fear the king's laws. Syggyswyke requests that he is granted letters of the privy seal directed to Robert Wycliffe commanding him, on a certain pain, to appear before the king and the lords of his council on a specified day to answer the premises.
