Brieth complains that he was taken before Saint-Pol-de-Leon within the liberty there with his ship laden with white wine by the Sergeants who were in a ship called 'the Bartholomew', and the ship was taken to Colchester Water and the ship and cargo were sold to Flynt and Aysaunt. The ship was brought towards London with some of the wine and was seized by the king's servants, the king then ordering the same to be sold. The sergeants were held in prison in the Tower for their offence, but were released by order of the king without the agreement or assent of the petitioner, and he requests restitution and recompense.
