Nature of request
The de la Poles request that the king send a privy seal with his sergeant of arms to arrest Doughty and bring him before the council at a day assigned by the king so that Doughti might be punished according to the king's laws. Doughty with armed men at Kingston came to murder Myndrem, his servant and tenant, and then took him and made him strike down a gate of the petitioners and entered upon their land and executed common felons there and made a highway that previously had not existed to their great damage.
Nature of endorsement
Let letters be sent of 13 May in the 20th year to come before the king and council in the morrow of St John the Baptist under pain of £100.
