Burell complains that Beram and her mother enfeoffed her and her late husband of two messuages and on his death bed, Edward Burell requested that John his brother love and help the petitioner, and made the Burell brothers co-executors with the petitioner, but after his death John Burell entered the messuages and kept the issues and profits and would not restore them or a box of evidences entrusted to him. Before his death John Burell, out of remorse, restored the issues and profits, but on his death Andrew Burell entered the same and withheld the issues and profits and would not return the evidences, or several silver items that Edward Burell had given him, and the petitioner had given him to pay to the church wardens of the parish of St Nicholas, Cole Abbey, he not having paid the wardens. The petitioner has paid the debts of her husband and is greatly impoverished and is not able to seek remedy at the common law, and requests that the king will command by the council a sergeant-at-arms to make Andrew Burell come before the council at a certain day to answer the premises, and that such direction may be had in this behalf as right and conscience require.
