[Petition in a series of paragraphs].Lastineur complains of the assaults, menaces and false indictments made by Fleer and his son to make him quit his pays and surrender his house, and he requests remedy and that he can have peace and the Fleers make redress for the great outrages done against him.
Nature of endorsement
And after this [...] they are to appear before the council and have a day until the Wednesday to answer to the petitioner concerning what he will say against him if he went throughout London and beyond the Tower into the foreign, if he has slandered him calling him a thief of hens and other poultry, and from this to rob the people and he was taken in the name of the king of all manner of victuals, of which thing he is ready to purge himself by the whole household and all good people.
