Description

Council.
Nature of request
Arden requests that remedy is granted as the manor of Kingstone that has been taken into the king's hand was not held in chief, but rather of the lord of Richard's Castle, and that he is able to have his right and possession by whatever this court or another will award. He requests that such misprisons by minister be redressed, and that he is able to be restored to his estate. He entered the manor of Kingston which was held by Fitz Pain by right and inheritance which descended to him after his father's death, and held the same for a quarter of a year without challenge, but has been ejected wrongfully by the escheator who has seized the same at the suit of various heirs of Wigginton who has no right to the manor, to the great damage and disinheritance of the petitioner.
