The plaint is dated to c. 1319 as it appears that this plaint was part of a file (SC 8/334/E1154-E1183B) that seems to date to the York parliament held in 1319 (cf. SC 8/334/E1183B). The plaint is dated to c. 1314 as it refers to the seventh year of the reign of (Edward II). In addition, Burdeyn was sheriff from Michaelmas 1313-1314 (List of Sheriffs, p.201).
