[The plaint is badly damaged, though the sense is mostly clear].Exchequer plaint of Sonde requesting [remedy] as Wanegrave carried away his goods with his wife [...] in the parish of Paternoster Church in the keeping of the vin[tners] of London, [...] and Sonde sued a writ ravishment and against Wanegrave and he was taken and put in Newgate, but was afterwards delivered [without] answering to the party and without process of law in contempt of the king's order and to [Sonde's great damage], [...] except £60 of goods carried away with his wife.1)

The plaint is dated to c. 1319 as it appears that this plaint was part of a file (SC 8/334/E1154-E1183B) that seems to date to the York parliament held in 1319 (cf. SC 8/334/E1183B). The plaint itself refers to the eleventh year of the reign of Edward II.
