- Whetelay states that he is imprisoned by order of the marshal and steward, at the suit of Hill in a plea of trespass, and the pleas is still pending between him and Hugh before Brabazon and they have pleaded it until the pays, and the petitioner was arrested, imprisoned and condemned in 20 marks before then steward and marshal while the king was at Clipstone, at the suit of Hull, though it was not 'dentz le verge', nor in the presence of the king or at another time. He requests that he can be delivered to the law according to the ordinances as he is condemned against the ordinances.
