Nature of request
Ros states that the Templars held part of Wetherby from him, and after the forfeiture of the Templars his bailiff seized part of the lands in the manor which were held from, and which are now in the king's hand. He requests that he can have a writ to enquire from whom the this parcel of the manor is held, and if it is found that it is held from him, that he is able to enter and have it without disturbance.1)
Nature of endorsement
Coram magno consilio.2) Concerning the two parts of the tenement, they are in the hand of the king by the minority of H. de Percy; concerning the third part, it is in the hand of the Lady Percy in the name of dower. For the two parts, the petitioner should await the coming of age etc.; concerning the other part, he should sue against the tenant at the common law if he considers it expedient.3) Coram magno consilio.
