Nature of request
Goldyngham states that his father was ordered to take victuals to London by the king, and then to charge the same on ships to take them to Berwick. He charged them on two ships, and one was lost by a storm, and part of the cargo of wheat was lost on the other. He requests that allowance is made for the lost ship, and that he is not charged of the corn lost, since they were lost by the storm, and it was done by warrant, and no fault is found in the petitioner.
