[c. 1312-c. 1320]
Description
Petitioners
Executors of Christiana de Marish.
Addressees
King and council.
Nature of request
The executors request satisfaction be done to them in another manner as they held the manors of Langley and Wraysbury for execution of Marish's testament and were granted the manor of Overstone for seven and a half years in allowance of this and were seised and granted the term in Overstone to Appleby for the payment of certain sums, but he entered and did not pay them anything, and the manor with its stock and moveable goods was taken into the king's hand because of Appleby's trespass.
Nature of endorsement
Because the business was begun before the treasure and barons of the Exchequer, let it be ordered to them by writ of the king containing the power of the petition, that they call the parties before them and examine the matter diligently, and do justice.
