Addressees
King.
Nature of request
Wyse requests that it be commanded that East Hundred be rendered to him according to right and reason, and according to the response made to his previous petition to the London parliament. The Hundred was held at fee farm by his father and was taken into the king's hand for various trespasses committed by him, and the petitioner sued to the last parliament and the sheriff of Cornwall was ordered to enquire if the petitioner was next heir, and that inquisition is now returned into Chancery.
Nature of endorsement
He should sue in Chancery where the process of this business is.
Places mentioned
London
Estweueleshire (East hundred), [Cornwall]
Cornwall.
People mentioned
William Wyse (Wise), father of the petitioner.
Note
The petition is dated to? c. 1312 as the petition refers to the last parliament held at London, and that was held in 1311, unless the petitioner confused the venue with Westminster, which would cause wider dates to be considered.
