Nature of request
The abbot requests that his bailiff be commanded to remove his seals from the abbots goods in Ardington Grange and to suffer the abbot and his officers to dispose of them peaceably and without trouble until the truth of the dispute is found. The prince has a fee in an isle near Osney in the parish of St Thomas the Martyr called the fee of St Valery and the abbot has a fee adjoining it called 'Doyle's Fee' and Green came and accused the abbot of raising an obstacle in the fee of Seint Valery when it was plainly raised in Doyle's Fee, and the abbot is grievously amerced in the court of the fee of Seint Valery and Green sealed his goods in the grange to his great damage.
