[The petition is damaged on its right-hand side, though much of the sense is clear].Petit requests letters directed to the prince's receiver [? to deliver the land] in Lafrowder and the moiety of Metheros [as they were taken into the prince's hand] because of the felony that John Petit made though he had no estate in them, and the petitioner's father sued for them and died seised of them.
