- [The petition is damaged on its right-hand side, though most of the sense is clear].Carminou requests that a further letter is granted to Sergeaux charging [...] that the council will ordain to show which of the petitioner or Sergeaux should pay the relief [for the manor of Tywardreath, and in the meantime] the ministers of the prince [be commanded] to cease their distraints on the petitioner. Carminou states that by another petition in this file Sergeaux has [attempted to show] that he ought not to pay the relief [for the manor], and the petitioner has been distrained by his beasts for the same.
