[The petition is damaged on its right-hand side, though most of the sense is clear].Carminou requests that a further letter is granted to Sergeaux charging [...] that the council will ordain to show which of the petitioner or Sergeaux should pay the relief [for the manor of Tywardreath, and in the meantime] the ministers of the prince [be commanded] to cease their distraints on the petitioner. Carminou states that by another petition in this file Sergeaux has [attempted to show] that he ought not to pay the relief [for the manor], and the petitioner has been distrained by his beasts for the same.

Let it be sent to the receiver and feodary of the prince to enquire of the matter and return the same at Michaelmas, and to warn the parties to be there before the council.
