Nature of request
The bailiff requests that a remedy is ordained. He arrested certain beasts of Carre and emparked them in Allington because of a plea of trespass sued in the court of North Osney before the steward of the prince between Caldecote and Woodcock on the one part, and Carre on the other. Because Carre did not wish to make satisfaction or surety for the beasts as was customary, and wishing to destroy the prince's liberty he approached the sheriff to have delivery of the beasts, and the sheriff's ministers with Carre's servants came with force and arms and rescued the beasts and threatened the bailiff.
