Nature of request
Wodecok requests that it is granted to him that the matter of the wrongs of Carr are enquired of by law-worthy men of the vills around Allington. Wodecok put some of his beasts in the common pasture of Allington but the servants of Carr came and took them and emparked them in his own common to the petitioner's great damage and against the liberty of [...]. When he went to deliver them, the beasts were chased ... lordship with his three servants, and because he pursued them the servants [...] so that he lost them by default of Carr, and by evil allegation made against him he attempted to non-suit his right against Carr by having him indicted at Winchester in the last session.
