Nature of request
The tenants request that right is done to them in the matter of the wrongs done by Carr or else they will be unable to reside any longer in Allington. Carr took the farm of the lordship for the last eleven years from the prince's steward, to which pertained one 'loweday' [? Loveday] of the vill of Allington, but Carr took two against the custom to the great damage of the tenants' estate and against the franchise, and has done great wrongs as appears by their bill.
