Nature of request
[The petition is damaged on its right-hand side, though the much of the sense is clear].Trevarthan requests [...] that Botreaux, Sergens and Richard Eyr [be commanded] to suffer the petitioner to [hold the lands late of Trembethou and Brofframan] in Trembethow, as Trembathou enfeoffed Brofframan to hold the land for his life, and after his death to remain to Trembethou and his heirs of his body, and should they die without heirs of their body then the same should revert to the petitioner which it did. Trevarthan has been peacefully seised of the same for 12 years and more until Richard E... claimed the same as kinsman and heir to Trembethou by the aid of the sheriff whose kinswoman he had married, and has attempted to recover the same.
