- [The petition is damaged on its right-hand side, though the sense is pretty clear].Daudeley requests that right be done to him concerning the custody of the heir of Raleigh which came into his hand after the death of Raleigh who held by knight service from Daudeley in Devon and Somerset, and who was taken out of his custody by Scolehall by an order that he had by letters of his lord which contained that if Daudeley could show to the prince's council that he had a right then he would have restitution.
