[The petition is badly damaged with about a third of the petition being missing or illegible.]Wodeford and Mabel request [...] and that Fohull be commanded to cease his wrongs and disinheritances and to make redress [...] [or that he appear before] the prince and his council in the month of Easter to show his right in the manor of Sproxton [...] [command to] the prince's steward in those parts that he together [...] to the heirs and their tenants in salvation of their right in the same parts. Fohull entered the manor of Sproxton while the heirs were minors in the king's hand and took goods and chattels from there though he had no right and without process of law.
