- Myddewynter requests for the poor commons of Devon who are aggrieved day to day, as well for himself, that a remedy is provided and that certain good people are assigned to hear and determine the grievances, oppressions, extortions and ransoms taken from the people. Myddewynter complains of Chudleigh and other tinners who have come and taken his cattle on two occasions, making him pay a fine on one occasion, and selling, eating and moving the cattle away in the stannary on the other. Chudleigh has also demanded a great sum of money so that the petitioner is totally ruined.
