Bisshebury requests remedy because in the time of Henry III all the hundreds of Shropshire and Staffordshire were in the hand of the sheriff, who was charged £100 for their farms, yet now, although 9 hundreds have been granted to others and are no longer in his hand, he is still charged £100 for their farms.
Nature of endorsement
This petition should be sent to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer to hear his complaint and do him justice, having regard for the statute made at Northampton.
