Nature of request
Roger de Mohaut, son and heir of Robert de Mohaut, requests remedy on two issues.1) He states that he holds Hawarden and its appurtenances by inheritance from his father, but Grey has occupied a great part of the manor, along with the assarts held by the people of Aston and elsewhere since the time of his grandfather, Roger.2) He also states that, although the King had commanded that wood be cut from the passes of Swordwood, the people of the Wirral have come and cut wood from everywhere, not just in the passes.
