Nature of request
The men of the town of Boothby, tenants of the King and the Earl of Lancaster, request remedy because for the past three years the constable of Somerton castle has prevented them from using their common pasture.
Nature of endorsement
Friskeney and Malberthorp should be assigned to enquire in the presence of Ros into who holds that castle to his use by the King's commission and that it be testified before the King's council if the men of Boothby had common pasture in his father's time or if they were disseised as is supposed in the petition, and by whom, when and why etc. and certify the King.
