Nature of request
The community of Rhuddlan make four requests.1) They request the King's grace because they were burned in the last war, as was found by inquisition before the justice of Cheshire and Havering, and cannot afford their rents.2) They request aid concerning an inquisition into the bridge of Rhuddlan.3) They request that they may use the woods of Llewenny and Baghegrek according to their charter, without interference from Earl of Lincoln's bailiffs and foresters of Denbighshire.4) They request a charter.1)
Nature of endorsement
To the first article etc. Reginald was ordered to send the said inquisition of the said burnings and then do to them what should be done etc.2) To the second article concerning the bridge, they should have a writ to Reginald to cease any inquisition etc.3) Concerning the rest, they should await whatever inquisition Reginald will send etc.4) To the third, the justice of the place should be ordered in writing to go to the place ... and the Earl of Lincoln should cause the King's ordinance to be observed in all points etc.5) To the fourth article, ... they are burned and impoverished [they should have] the King's grace [by] charter of liberty etc.
