Hunmanby, parson of Huntington, requests remedy because the steward of Galtres Forest is demanding puture from him, when in 1341 Neville found that Snaweshill, the former parson, should be quit of all puture for his lands in the forest.
Nature of endorsement
A writ should be sent to the justices of the same forest to enquire in the presence of the parties whether or not puture is due from lands and tenements of the said church by composition made in ancient times or in other rightful and reasonable manner, and then the justices should reach their final decision in this matter according to what is right.
