Nature of request
William, archbishop of York, who has the right to all felons in Beverley, requests the return of Acreman (arrested for the death of Neel) in accordance with his franchise. Certain men came with force and arms to Beverley and removed Acreman from his franchise to answer for other crimes committed in Norwich. He was taken to Nottingham where he was imprisoned. The archbishop also asks that Neville, Scrope and Bamburgh, justices assigned in a dispute between him and the people of Kingston-upon-Hull, enrol their findings on the Parliament roll.
