Somery requests justice because after Parles, who holds the manor of Handsworth of him, was hanged for felony, it was found by inquisition that the manor belonged to the petitioner and was his escheat, but when he went before Hengham to have delivery of the same manor, the prior of St John of Jerusalem in England came and claimed that the manor was held of him and should be his escheat.
