- [Petition in two parts:] 1) Edwa requests that the king will by his letters confirm to him the office of notary and scrivener of the duchy which he held at other times with the office of auditor of the court of the seal of Bordeaux. 2) He requests the grant of the office of scrivener of the prevote of Auch which is of little value as he has served the king according to his power.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition is dated to c. 1317-c. 1330 because the petition appears to be part of a file of Gascon petitions that date to this approximate date (SC 8/330/E979-E994). Few of the petitions have proved easily datable, only SC 8/330/E987 proving of any real use, referring to John de Weston as the former chamberlain of Scotland, and he ceased to hold that office in 1317. Several of the petitions seem to refer to war service, and it is unclear whether these are references to the war in the last years of Edward I or to that of St Sardos, hence the late date of c. 1330.
