Nature of request
Pynchebek requests that Plompton and Ashwell be commanded to appear before the council at a day and place assigned to answer to his complaint, and thereupon to be further ordained as accords to right and good. He shows that Plompton and Ashwell have done wrong to him and Plompton has taken the profit from the church of Walton claiming the same by a lease which was not lawfully made, which church was appropriated to the chantry established by the late archbishop to provide for the priests to live and to bear the ordinary and extraordinary charges of the church.
